About Us
After retiring from a 30 year career in the computer industry, Phyllis began a variety of hobbies and philanthrophic endeavors. In 2000, she founded the Phyllis Recca Foundation which focuses on children's health and education and serves as its President. As a collector of art, Phyllis practiced painting, first in watercolors, then acrylics. This lead to her first two books about Bat Bebe, a young dragonfly, providing both the text and illustrations. Years later, after becoming involved in the local historical society, she researched and wrote two books detailing the history of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, titled Chadds Ford: Then and Now.
Her love for sewing generated the idea to try handmade crafts and she brought up her sewing machine from the basement storage. The 40+ year old Singer Stylist still worked like a charm.
Phyllis lives in Kennett Square, PA with her husband Gene Pisasale, their two cats (Frankie and Francis) andparakeet.
